Lead Vocals

Damion Mulrain’s is a singer/songwriter who’s music career has been born from a melting pot of diverse influences from his childhood.

Back in his early days, music had always been a feature with his mother’s constant love of 45” records, spanning genres reggae, lover’s rock, soul and soca. Damion’s influences are endless and span too many genres to mention… but he has always admired the songwriting and musicianship of living legend Stevie Wonder.

At 17, the shy young art student began entering talent shows and soon realised that performing and being on stage was a huge part of what he enjoyed in life. Damion’s development from taking lead roles in school productions to fusions within vocal harmony groups…eventually led him to work with House duo Transformerz. After winning Best Unsigned Act at the 2003 Underground Music Awards with “I Like The Feeling”.

In 2003, Damion was also introduced to breakbeat and drum n bass. An experimental phase into the underground music world with Visionary Underground with performances across Europe spanning over 4 years working with some of the finest percussionists and musicians.

Damion has continued to develop his raw soulful sound through various collaborations that would later land other opportunities singing at some of the most prestigious venues in the UK and abroad.
Damion has also had the pleasure of providing backing vocals for the late Grammy award winning artist Amy Winehouse on her ‘Back to Black’ International tour in the US and Europe. He has also supported Mary Wilson – founding member of the Supremes at the Mobo’s in 2008.

Currently Damion makes up one half of a formidable partnership with Delroi Dyer in their band D22. In 2013, they performed at the Opening Doors Awards held at the glamorous Lancaster House near Buckingham Palace and can also seen performing on stages across London.

Damion feels it is a pleasure to be a member of SupaTight and when you hear his gritty, soulful voice
you will understand why we are pleased to have him on board.
